SEIDOR brings art and quantum computing together at SÓNAR+D with Libby Heaney

  • SEIDOR returns to Sónar+D for the third consecutive year, reinforcing its commitment to creativity, technology, and diversity
  • Invited by SEIDOR, quantum art pioneer Libby Heaney will present her audiovisual performance Eat my Multiverse
  • Over 400 IT executives, tech leaders, and emerging talent will attend SEIDOR’s event on June 12 at the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona

Barcelona, April 9, 2025 — Technology consulting firm SEIDOR will once again participate in Sónar+D as a sponsor and content contributor, reaffirming its commitment to critical thinking and the intersection of technology, creativity, and diversity.

For this year’s edition, SEIDOR is supporting British artist Libby Heaney—PhD in quantum physics and a leading figure in contemporary digital art—who will present her groundbreaking audiovisual performance Eat my Multiverse, created using quantum computing.

SEIDOR’s involvement aligns with one of the main themes of Sónar+D 2025: Worlds to Come—a program exploring the “future of the future,” and how the human ability to imagine alternative realities can inspire responses to today’s complex challenges. With this collaboration, SEIDOR emphasizes the importance of expanding traditional frameworks of thought to address the present through new narratives and languages.

Turning Quantum Physics into Artistic Language

Libby Heaney, who holds both a scientific background in quantum physics and an arts education from the Royal College of Art in London, was the first artist to integrate quantum computing into artistic creation. Her work is rooted in a non-binary, multiversal logic that questions dominant systems of identity, knowledge, and power.

In Eat my Multiverse, Heaney guides the audience through a “quantum safari” of speculative visuals and sounds generated with quantum software, offering a queer, critical, and transformative lens.

A Gathering of Tech Leaders and Emerging Talent

Alongside her participation in the official Sónar+D program, Heaney will headline an event hosted by SEIDOR on June 12 at the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona. The event will bring together over 400 participants—including IT executives, tech companies, and STEM students—for a unique experience at the intersection of innovation and inclusion.

Now in its second edition, the event is part of SEIDOR’s broader initiative to create spaces where talent and decision-makers from the tech industry come together to explore how technology can help build more equitable futures. The agenda features an inspirational keynote by Heaney and panel discussions with voices from the tech, education, and business sectors.

A Commitment to Transformative Thinking

SEIDOR’s partnership with Sónar+D extends beyond sponsorship. As the only technology consulting firm featured in the program, SEIDOR has, for three editions, contributed to fostering critical perspectives on the role of technology in our lives, through content that blends science, art, ethics, and humanism.

Iván González, SEIDOR’s Director of Marketing, Communications and Sustainability, stated: “We are renewing this partnership because we believe in the power of technology to drive transformation when it connects with people.” According to González, “Libby Heaney embodies the kind of disruptive vision we need to imagine more inclusive and human futures. Her presence symbolizes the convergence of tech leadership and the new generation of talent bringing fresh, diverse, and critical perspectives on technology.”

Through its participation in Worlds to Come, SEIDOR reaffirms its commitment to technology with a positive impact—one that opens doors to alternative universes where sustainability, inclusion, and imagination are key to rethinking our collective future.
