10 March 2022 - Juan Alfonso Ruiz Molina, Minister of Finance and Public Administrations of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, José Julián Garde López-Brea, Rector of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), and Joan Ramon Barrera, Director of Public Sector at SEIDOR and on behalf of this technology consultancy firm, have presented the collaboration agreement to promote an IT ACADEMY.
The IT ACADEMY will function as a specialised centre to train and provide professional experience in the field of technology to students from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, whose activities and professional practices will take place at the Regional Centre for Digital Innovation of Castilla-La Mancha (CRID).
As a result of this agreement, students, preferably (but not exclusively) from Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity and Systems, will be able to develop their skills by joining SEIDOR.
In this sense, we are committed to recruiting and training talent in Castilla-La Mancha, providing this specialised training in technology through the IT ACADEMY. This centre plans to train professionals annually for the development of IT projects in the region and, from Castilla-La Mancha, to collaborate in SEIDOR units in locations such as Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.
In addition, by virtue of the agreement, SEIDOR will also provide the UCLM with a catalogue of different masterclasses given by professionals from the company, which can be held during school hours, with the content of the sessions adjusted to the qualifications of the participating students.
The Minister of Finance and Public Administrations, Juan Alfonso Ruiz Molina, stressed that the signing of this agreement aims, "on the one hand, to offer the best job opportunities to young people from Castilla-La Mancha who want to develop their careers in the field of technology, through the implementation of activities and internships for students of the UCLM in the Regional Centre for Digital Innovation, and, secondly, to promote the retention of digital talent, essential to ensuring the economic and social growth of our region in the coming years."
For his part, José Julián Garde López-Brea, Rector of the UCLM, pointed out that "this agreement is focused on what matters most, which are our students". "Thanks to this collaboration, students will have the opportunity to complete their technological training in an important multinational company like SEIDOR, in an initiative that also has the support of the regional government and the city council, and which will contribute to the promotion of new technologies in Talavera de la Reina", added Garde.
For his part, Joan Ramon Barrera, Director of Public Sector at SEIDOR, stressed that "with this agreement, SEIDOR reinforces its commitment to the Community of Castilla-La Mancha, through the creation and retention of talent specialised in different technologies from the main leading international suppliers and, in this way, we contribute to strengthening its competitiveness".
SEIDOR, new partner of the CRID
SEIDOR has also joined the Regional Centre for Digital Innovation of Castilla-La Mancha (CRID), located in Talavera de la Reina. As such, the technology consultancy becomes a new technology partner that will contribute to the development of the region's industrial fabric.
With its entry into the CRID, SEIDOR seeks to make available to the community its services and solutions for the modernisation and digital transformation of the region's private sectors and across all levels of government. It also seeks to facilitate the creation of specialised technological talent to participate in the development of projects, both inside and outside the region.
Joan Ramon Barrera stressed that "with our entry into the CRID, SEIDOR will contribute to the business competitiveness of the territory, providing experience, capacity and resources for the digital transformation of the public and private sectors in La Mancha."
