What is Mailchimp?
Mailchimp is a web application that allows us to send email campaigns or informational emails in HTML format with compatibility across all email clients in a simple and agile way with a wide variety of tools.
What is Mailchimp and what does it allow us to do?
To use Mailchimp, we will need to create an account on their platform. Simply fill in the fields, and we will receive a confirmation email for the account creation. Once verified, we can access the web interface and receive a tutorial with all the tools and actions we can use.
In this article, we will focus on the section for creating templates or using a default one and campaigns. Mailchimp allows us to create an HTML from scratch to design our template as we like and use only what we need. There is a design section where we will see the blocks to add information and another HTML section where we can create the structure and have a real-time preview of the modifications. It also allows us to use various existing templates where we start from a graphical interface in which we can add blocks, preview how it will look in an email, add information, and see real-time modifications.
Once we have our desired template with the information we want to show in our emails, we only need to create a campaign, select our template, and send it to the emails we want to receive the campaign.
While the campaign is running, Mailchimp will offer us a section to view the statistics of views, how many have opened the email, clicked, or unsubscribed. To access this section, we need to go to the dashboard and enter “Reports.” These statistics can be shared or printed, and we can see more detailed information such as the geographic area. It also allows us to integrate Google Analytics to obtain even more detailed reports.

We are faced with a beautiful and easy-to-understand idea that can be difficult to implement if not done correctly.
